Acer Multimedia Card Reader Driver Windows 7

Hello, on my laptop (ASUS Z91N), I've got one left driver issue: the integrated memory card reader. It's called Ricoh SD/MMC controller, the latest driver having the best behavior found is 2003-10-20 (1.4.2.9) from ASUS website for WinXP.

All other drivers found does nothing, they install but when I plug the card, nothing appears in 'My computer'. The problem is that when I plug a SD card, windows detects it, assigns a letter, but I am unable to open to look at the files. I get 'Access denied' every time. When I try to format, it does it with the good size detected! I tested by looking with another computer. So, this problem is weird, I never had any issue similar to that in the past. Anybody here having the same problem?

Hey, I had this same problem and was able to make all of the problems that I was having running Windows 7 on my XP tablet. My card reader would not work. It would recognize the card was inserted, but would display an error message that said access denied. I found that it was not an ownership issue or a administrative user problem.

I also could not get the screen to rotate. Once I disabled UAC (User Account Control), everything worked. Here's how to do it: The risk of this is that you won't have a pop-up every time you install a program.

This could allow something to install that you didn't want. Similar help and support threads Thread Forum I have a Dell XPS M1710 laptop.

After I insert a card into the slot, the light flashes a few times and on My Computer the card becomes the (F:).

At the action center it says the following: Your memory card reader is missing a driver. The model name of your memory card reader is Ricoh card reader. So i went on the link(ASUSTeK Computer.

Drivers I've tried searching this forum, but I couldn't find anything that applied to my situation. I had Vista x64, then upgraded it to Windows 7. I got the companion disc from Sony which included all drivers for upgraded Windows. Everything worked fine, except for SD card reader. When I insert.
